Enemy attack in Zhytomyr region: enterprise in Zviahel damaged
On the night of April 8, Russian forces carried out another attack on the Zhytomyr region. The city of Zviahel, where a large industrial enterprise is located, came under fire. Local authorities confirmed the strike and urged residents to follow safety rules during air raid alerts.
The enemy targeted the Cersanit plant, which is one of the largest manufacturers of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware in Ukraine. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the premises of the enterprise. Rescuers worked promptly at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the destruction.
According to preliminary information, none of the employees were injured during the shelling, as there was a minimal number of personnel on-site at night. However, the plant's buildings and equipment sustained significant damage. Environmentalists and local government representatives also checked the air quality in Zviahel following the fire at the industrial facility. Residents of the city were asked to limit their time outdoors and keep windows closed until the checks were completed. The situation in the area is currently under the control of the relevant services.
