Ukraine begins serial production of new anti-drone systems
Ukrainian technology company BlueBird Tech has announced the transition to serial production of innovative anti-drone systems. This development aims to increase the effectiveness of protection against enemy drones, which are frequently used for reconnaissance or attacks on critical infrastructure.
The main feature of the new system is the use of special "net guns." Instead of using explosives or complex electronic jamming, the device fires a specialized, high-strength net. It reliably blocks the propellers of the unmanned aerial vehicle, forcing it to lose control and land.
This approach has several significant advantages. First, using a net is significantly cheaper than employing expensive missiles or electronic warfare systems. Second, it is a safer method for use in urban environments, as it does not create a risk of explosion or damage to surrounding objects.
The launch of serial production will allow Ukrainian defenders to be equipped with a greater number of tools to combat small aerial targets. It is expected that these systems will become an important addition to existing air defense assets and will help better protect Ukrainian cities and military positions.
