Ukraine reports hitting Russian landing ship 'Pyotr Morgunov'
The Ukrainian military has announced a successful operation against the Russian fleet. According to reports, the large landing ship 'Pyotr Morgunov,' which was located near the port of Novorossiysk, was struck.
This ship is considered one of the most modern and largest in the Russian landing fleet. It was officially commissioned in December 2020, making it a relatively new vessel for the Russian Navy.
Novorossiysk is an important logistics hub for the Russian army on the Black Sea. Striking targets in this area is of strategic importance, as it complicates the occupiers' ability to transport equipment and personnel by sea.
Details of the operation and the extent of the ship's damage are currently being clarified. Military experts note that such actions by Ukraine continue to weaken the Russian fleet's presence in the region and limit its ability to conduct operations near the Ukrainian coast.
The situation in the Black Sea remains tense. Ukraine continues to use new methods and technologies to counter the Russian fleet, despite its numerical superiority.
