Zelenskyy: Ukraine needs 100 Patriot missiles every month to protect its skies
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that there is a critical need for air defense systems. According to him, to effectively repel Russian air attacks, Ukraine needs to receive at least 100 missiles for Patriot systems every month.
To date, Russia continues to increase the production rates of its own weapons. According to the data, the aggressor country manufactures about 140 missiles of various types each month. This creates significant pressure on the Ukrainian air defense system, which is forced to counter massive shelling of critical infrastructure and residential areas on a daily basis.
Patriot systems play a key role in protecting Ukrainian cities, as they are capable of shooting down complex ballistic targets. However, the high intensity of attacks requires a constant replenishment of ammunition stocks, which is only possible with stable assistance from international partners.
Securing the Ukrainian sky remains the top priority for the country's safety. The government continues negotiations with Western countries regarding the supply of additional air defense systems and the necessary quantity of missiles for them in order to minimize the consequences of Russian aggression.
