Consequences of the Russian attack: part of Kyiv left without electricity
On October 10, Russian forces carried out another attack on Ukraine's critical infrastructure. As a result of the enemy's actions, serious power supply problems arose in Kyiv, leading to emergency blackouts for many consumers.
The residential area of Pivdenna Borshchahivka was the most affected. Residents of this district were left without electricity immediately following the morning shelling. City authorities and energy services responded promptly to the situation and began repair work.
Currently, specialists from the DTEK company are working to restore a stable power supply as quickly as possible. Energy workers are doing everything possible to bring electricity back to the homes of Kyiv residents, although the exact time for the completion of repairs has not yet been announced.
The city administration is urging residents of the capital to remain calm and be prepared for possible temporary restrictions on electricity consumption. Citizens are advised to charge their electronic devices and keep necessary supplies of water and flashlights on hand.
The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains difficult due to constant shelling. Authorities are asking Ukrainians to be responsible in their use of electricity, especially during evening hours, in order to reduce the load on the grid during restoration work.
