Ukraine has developed new means to combat jet-powered "Shaheds"
Ukrainian specialists have successfully developed four different types of special interceptors designed to destroy enemy jet-powered "Shahed"-type drones. These technological solutions are an important response to the new threats posed by the Russian army, which is using modernized drones to attack Ukrainian cities.
Currently, the main task for Ukraine's defense sector is to scale up the production of these assets. Rapidly manufacturing a large number of interceptors will allow for more effective protection of critical infrastructure and residential areas against enemy air strikes.
The development of domestic interception systems is part of Ukraine's strategy to strengthen its own air defense. Using proprietary technologies helps reduce dependence on the supply of expensive missiles for Western air defense systems, which are typically expended to shoot down cheaper drones.
Implementing these developments into mass production will be an important step in strengthening the country's security. The government and defense enterprises are working to ensure that Ukrainian defenders are provided with the necessary number of effective tools to combat enemy aviation.
