Ukrainian veterans took part in the Invictus sports festival in Germany
On June 13 and 14, an important international event took place in the German city of Düsseldorf — the Invictus Germany Sports Festival 2026. The sports festival was held at the Castello Düsseldorf arena and brought together participants from various countries to support veterans and military personnel who were wounded during their service.
This event is part of the international Invictus Games movement, which aims to help veterans adapt to civilian life through sports. Participating in such competitions gives athletes the opportunity to demonstrate their strength of spirit, endurance, and resilience in the face of difficult life challenges.
The festival program included a variety of sports disciplines in which athletes of different skill levels competed. In addition to the competitions themselves, the event served as a platform for exchanging experiences between representatives of different nations and strengthening international support for Ukraine.
Such sporting events play a major role in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian defenders. They not only help improve physical condition but also contribute to the psychological recovery and socialization of veterans in society.
The hosting of the Invictus Germany Sports Festival 2026 once again highlighted the importance of paying attention to the needs of military personnel who have returned from the front. The participation of the Ukrainian team in such international events remains a symbol of our nation's resilience on the world stage.
