Ukraine is working on changing border security rules due to Russian shelling
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has initiated consultations with partner countries regarding changes to border operations. The main goal of these discussions is to increase the level of security for citizens and logistical routes, which are constantly under threat due to Russian shelling.
The situation in border territories remains difficult due to regular attacks by the Russian Federation. Enemy shelling creates danger not only for civilians crossing the border but also for customs and border service personnel. That is why the Ukrainian side is seeking new technical and organizational solutions to protect people.
Within the framework of the negotiations, the possibility of optimizing the operation of checkpoints is being discussed. This may include the implementation of new security protocols, changes to operating schedules, or the strengthening of infrastructure protection. Ukraine's partners have expressed their readiness to support these initiatives to ensure the stable movement of goods and people under safe conditions.
It is expected that the changes will help reduce risks while at border checkpoints. Authorities emphasize that safety remains the top priority in the current conditions of war. Details regarding the new border crossing rules, which will be implemented in cooperation with neighboring states, will be released in the near future.
