The State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine has conducted its first gender audit
The State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine (SEI) has officially presented the results of its first gender audit. This significant event took place on September 29, 2026, during a special meeting of the agency. The audit marks an important step toward improving the institution's internal policies and ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
During the study, experts analyzed the current situation within the inspectorate, specifically the distribution of positions between men and women, as well as the level of access to professional training. The goal of the audit was to identify potential barriers that prevent employees from effectively realizing their potential, regardless of their gender.
Based on the results of the assessment, specialists developed a series of recommendations for the SEI leadership. These suggestions are aimed at creating a more inclusive work environment and implementing modern human resources management standards. Implementing these changes will help make the inspectorate's work more transparent and efficient.
Conducting such an audit is part of Ukraine's broader strategy to integrate European standards into the work of government agencies. Such initiatives contribute to the development of equality and justice within Ukrainian state structures, which is an important indicator of democratic transformation in the country.
