Over 30 propaganda YouTube channels blocked in Ukraine
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has reported the successful blocking of another group of hostile resources. This time, restrictions were applied to 31 YouTube channels that were spreading Russian propaganda and disinformation among the Ukrainian audience.
Specialists at the Center constantly monitor the information space to identify channels that work against the national security of Ukraine. These resources were often used for manipulation, spreading fakes about the progress of hostilities, and attempts to destabilize public sentiment within the country.
According to representatives of the agency, the work to cleanse the Ukrainian segment of the internet of hostile content is ongoing. Cooperation with the YouTube platform administration allows for the prompt removal of channels that violate community guidelines and spread hate speech.
Experts emphasize that information hygiene remains critically important for every citizen. They urge Ukrainians to be attentive to sources of information, not to support suspicious channels with views, and to report content that shows signs of hostile propaganda.
The fight on the information front is an important part of defending the state. Blocking such resources helps reduce the influence of Russian propaganda and protect Ukraine's information space from manipulation.
