Development of defense technologies: key events of October for Ukraine and the world
October was a busy month for the field of defense technologies, often referred to as Defence Tech. A number of important conferences and forums took place around the world, where the future of security, the implementation of innovations in military affairs, and support for new developments were discussed.
One of the key events was London Defence Tech Week, as well as the Resilience Conference London. These events brought together experts, investors, and developers who are looking for ways to make modern armies more technologically advanced and resilient to the challenges of the time. For Ukraine, participation in such events is critically important, as it is an opportunity to present its own developments and find international partners.
It is also worth noting the active work of the EDTH organization, which held a series of hackathons. Such competitions help young engineers and startups quickly create prototypes of solutions that can be useful on the battlefield. Similar initiatives stimulate the development of the technology sector and attract talented youth to solve defense tasks.
Special attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming AUSA 2026 exhibition. For the first time in the history of this large-scale event, it is planned to allocate a separate space for the presentation of the latest defense technologies. This indicates that the world recognizes the importance of rapid technological changes in modern conflicts.
The development of Defence Tech remains a priority for many countries, including Ukraine. Exchanging experience on international platforms allows not only for adopting best practices but also for demonstrating the effectiveness of Ukrainian solutions that save lives and help in the defense of the state.
