Dmitry Medvedev voices new Kremlin demands for ending the war in Ukraine

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, in an interview with Iranian state media, announced new Kremlin demands for ending hostilities in Ukraine. These statements once again underscore the official position of the Russian authorities regarding the continuation of aggression.

In his remarks, Medvedev formulated three main conditions which, according to the Russian side, should serve as the basis for ending the war. Despite the fact that these demands are not new in essence, their reiteration by a high-ranking official indicates that the Kremlin's course remains unchanged.

Ukrainian authorities and the international community have repeatedly emphasized that such ultimatums are unacceptable. Kyiv insists on the full withdrawal of Russian troops from all occupied territories and the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders of 1991.

Currently, no official negotiations are being held based on these demands. The situation on the front remains tense, and diplomatic efforts are focused on finding ways to achieve a just peace that would guarantee the security and sovereignty of Ukraine.
