Ukrainians to receive cash assistance for Independence Day: who is eligible for payments
In 2026, Ukrainian citizens who have rendered special services to the state will receive an annual one-time cash payment for Independence Day. The amount of the payments will depend on the category of the recipient and will range from 450 to 3,100 hryvnias.
This financial support is traditionally provided to war veterans, victims of Nazi persecution, and individuals who have rendered special services to the Motherland. In this way, the state expresses its gratitude to people who have made a significant contribution to the defense and development of the country.
The payment amount for each recipient is determined individually in accordance with current legislation. The minimum amount of assistance is 450 hryvnias, while the maximum is 3,100 hryvnias. The distribution of funds is carried out through the Pension Fund of Ukraine or social protection agencies.
To receive the funds, citizens do not need to submit additional applications if they are already registered in the relevant databases. The payments will be credited automatically to bank accounts or delivered via postal services along with pensions or other social benefits.
This initiative is part of the state social policy aimed at supporting vulnerable categories of the population. The government emphasizes that the timely receipt of assistance is a priority task for social services during the holiday period.
