Ukrainian medicine: the number of transplants has increased by 30%
Over the past six months, the number of successful organ transplant surgeries in Ukraine has increased significantly. According to official data, medical professionals performed 327 organ transplants and 280 bone marrow transplants. This is almost 30% more than in the same period last year.
Doctors report that one in ten patients is a child. Such statistics indicate the development of the healthcare system and an increase in the level of trust in transplantology in Ukraine. Thanks to the professionalism of medical teams, hundreds of people have been given a chance at a full life.
The highest number of surgeries involved kidney transplants, with 184 performed. Doctors also carried out 88 liver transplants and 55 heart transplants. These complex surgical interventions were made possible by the improvement of medical technologies and the work of specialized centers across the country.
The growth in transplant indicators is an important step for Ukrainian medicine. Despite difficult conditions, doctors continue to save lives and implement modern treatment methods, which brings Ukraine closer to global standards in this field.
