SBU forces destroyed a Russian Tu-95 strategic bomber
The Security Service of Ukraine has conducted a successful operation on Russian territory. A Tu-95 strategic bomber, which Russian forces used to launch missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, was destroyed in the Saratov region.
The aircraft was located at the Engels airfield, which is one of the key bases for Russian strategic aviation. This facility has repeatedly served as a takeoff point for enemy aircraft during massive attacks on Ukraine's energy and civilian infrastructure.
The destruction of this type of aircraft is a significant event, as the Tu-95 is a carrier of long-range cruise missiles. The loss of equipment of this class complicates the enemy's ability to conduct air operations against Ukraine.
Currently, official SBU representatives confirm the successful strike on the target. The operation demonstrates the ability of Ukrainian forces to act at a great distance from the front line, striking the aggressor's military facilities.
This event has become another step in countering Russian air attacks. The Ukrainian command continues to work on reducing the combat potential of enemy aviation in order to protect the Ukrainian sky.
