Demographic crisis in Ukraine: why it is important to talk about the future
A series of LB.Talks discussions has begun in Ukraine, dedicated to critically important issues of the state's development. The first meeting, titled "Strong Hearts," focused on the demographic situation, which is currently one of the greatest challenges for the country. Experts emphasize that Ukraine is losing its population not only due to hostilities, but also due to complex social and economic processes.
During the discussion, specialists drew attention to the fact that the demographic crisis has many causes. Among them are the forced migration of millions of Ukrainians abroad, a low birth rate, and problems with the nation's health. Participants in the discussion stressed that overcoming these difficulties requires not only state programs but also the active participation of civil society.
