President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the personnel of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on their professional holiday — Military Intelligence Day. The Head of State expressed his gratitude to the defenders for their extremely important work, which helps to contain the enemy and bring Ukraine's victory closer.
In his address, the President emphasized the significant contribution of intelligence officers to the country's security. He mentioned the participation of GUR specialists in the defense of Kyiv at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as well as the successful operation to liberate Zmiinyi (Snake) Island, which became a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian forces.
In addition to landmark victories, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted hundreds of other secret operations that the fighters carry out both on the front line and deep behind enemy lines. According to the President, thanks to the professionalism and courage of the intelligence officers, Russia is failing to achieve its aggressive goals on the territory of Ukraine.
Military Intelligence Day is an important reminder of those who work "invisibly" but effectively. The daily work of these specialists provides the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary information that saves the lives of our soldiers and helps to plan effective actions against the occupiers.
