€70 Billion from NATO and Patriot Production in Ukraine

NATO members plan to increase the volume of aid to Ukraine to €70 billion for 2026. Although these funds have not yet been fully raised, the summit decision solidifies the long-term commitments of allies regarding military and financial support.

In parallel, Ukraine is preparing to strengthen its own defense through the production of American Patriot surface-to-air missile systems. Donald Trump announced the US's readiness to transfer the relevant technologies; however, the Ministry of Defense warns that deploying such production within the country will take at least a year.

Changes will also affect the financial sector: mortgage loans and business financing may become more accessible thanks to a new law on securitization (raising funds through the issuance of securities). This decision by the Verkhovna Rada is intended to increase the volume of resources that banks can direct toward lending to the public and entrepreneurs.

Farmers will also be able to receive state aid. The government has expanded the livestock support program, which now provides for partial reimbursement of costs for the construction and reconstruction of farms and complexes. This is intended to stimulate the development of the dairy industry and product processing.

On the front lines, the role of technology is intensifying: Ukraine is implementing combat artificial intelligence for drone control and battlefield analysis. It has also been revealed that the French company Safran is already supplying guidance systems for Ukrainian "Flamingo" cruise missiles.

At the same time, tensions persist in relations with Poland due to historical issues. Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the Polish amendments regarding the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) in the European Parliament resolution inappropriate, while the Polish side called for restraint in official statements. Meanwhile, an incident occurred in Warsaw where a man trashed a shop while defending female employees from anti-Ukrainian threats.
