Sport as support: how the 'Carpathian Legion' project helps children from frontline regions

The Rating sociological group has presented the results of a study dedicated to the impact of sports on the mental health of teenagers. The presentation took place within the framework of the 'Carpathian Legion' project, which is aimed at supporting children living in the frontline zones of Ukraine.

The main goal of the project is to provide teenagers with an opportunity to take a break from the stress caused by the war and receive psychological support through physical activity. The organizers emphasize that regular sports activities help young people cope better with anxiety and improve their emotional state.

During the presentation, experts discussed how exactly sports influence personal development in times of crisis. According to the researchers, team games and active recreation in a safe environment facilitate the socialization of children who have spent a long time in conditions of constant danger.

The 'Carpathian Legion' project has become an important step for the rehabilitation of children from affected areas. Thanks to such initiatives, teenagers not only gain physical strength but also the opportunity to socialize with their peers and make new friends in the peaceful atmosphere of the Carpathians.

Concluding the event, representatives of 'Rating' emphasized that supporting the mental health of young people is one of the main tasks for the future of the country. The project plans to continue its work to reach as many children as possible who need help and positive emotions during this difficult time.
