Ukraine plans to expand its 5G network: which city will be next
Ukraine is preparing to scale up its pilot project for the implementation of 5G technology. Following the successful launch of the first phase of network testing in Kyiv, the government and telecommunications operators plan to expand coverage to other regions of the country.
The next city to receive fifth-generation connectivity will be another major regional center. This is an important step for the modernization of Ukraine's digital infrastructure, which continues to develop even under martial law.
5G technology provides significantly higher data transfer speeds and a more stable internet connection compared to 4G. This allows for more efficient use of modern digital services, improves business operations, and ensures high-quality connectivity for a large number of users simultaneously.
The launch of 5G is part of the country's digitalization strategy. Experts note that the development of such technologies is critically important for integrating Ukraine into the global technological space and supporting the stable operation of critical infrastructure.
Currently, details regarding the exact launch dates and the name of the next city have not been officially disclosed. However, the expansion of the network demonstrates that Ukraine continues to implement innovations despite the challenges the state is facing.
