Most Poles support special conditions for their businesses in the reconstruction of Ukraine

According to a recent survey, the vast majority of Polish citizens believe that their companies should have preferences during the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. This issue is becoming increasingly relevant as the international community is already discussing plans for the future reconstruction of Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

The results of the study, published by Business Insider Polska, show that 76.4% of surveyed Poles support granting preferences to national businesses. This means that Polish society expects its government and the Ukrainian authorities to provide special conditions for Polish entrepreneurs to operate in the Ukrainian market in the future.

Poland has been one of Ukraine's closest allies since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. It provides significant military, humanitarian, and political aid. Therefore, Polish companies are counting on active participation in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects that will be funded by international donors.

However, the issue of economic preferences can be complex. Ukraine seeks to attract investment from all over the world, including the US, Germany, and other European Union countries. Creating a level playing field for all market participants is an important requirement of international organizations assisting Ukraine.

Discussions about the role of foreign business in the reconstruction of Ukraine are only just beginning. It is important to find a balance between gratitude to partners for their help and the creation of a transparent economic system. Further cooperation between Kyiv and Warsaw in this area will depend on intergovernmental agreements and specific investment plans.
