Media: Zelenskyy offers Koretskyi to head the government of Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made an unexpected proposal regarding a change in the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to Ukrainian media reports, the head of state offered the position of Prime Minister to businessman and former head of the State Property Fund Dmytro Koretskyi.
According to sources, this proposal came as a complete surprise to Koretskyi himself. During a personal meeting, he expressed surprise at the president's decision, as he had not previously discussed the possibility of moving into such a high-level public service position.
Despite his initial reaction, Dmytro Koretskyi agreed to consider the proposal and try his hand at the post of head of government. At present, there has been no official confirmation from the Office of the President regarding these personnel changes, so the details of a potential appointment remain unknown.
Experts note that a possible change of Prime Minister may indicate the authorities' intention to update the country's economic strategy. Further steps will depend on the official decisions of the president and the subsequent vote in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
