World Bank allocates over $3 billion to Ukraine to support its economy
Ukraine's state budget has received $3.35 billion from the World Bank. These funds are part of a new large-scale program aimed at supporting the country's stability during a difficult period. The financial assistance will help ensure the fulfillment of state obligations and support vital social sectors.
The funds were provided under the first Development Policy Loan for Jobs and Private Sector Growth. The main goal of this project is to create favorable conditions for business development and job creation. This is critically important for the recovery of the Ukrainian economy, which has suffered significant losses due to the war.
The funds received will allow the government to finance priority budget expenditures. In particular, this includes social assistance payments, salaries for public sector employees, and support for critical infrastructure. Such support from international partners helps maintain the stability of the national currency and avoid funding shortages.
The World Bank remains one of Ukraine's key partners in the financial sphere. Cooperation with international organizations allows the country not only to cover current expenses but also to plan for future recovery. It is expected that these investments will become the foundation for further economic growth and the strengthening of the private sector in Ukraine.
