Ukraine steps up efforts to utilize frozen Russian assets
The Ukrainian government has once again initiated discussions with European partners regarding the use of Russia's frozen state assets. This issue is extremely important for Ukraine, as the funds could be directed toward the country's reconstruction and supporting the economy during the war.
Currently, Ukraine is proposing new mechanisms that could allow access to these resources. In particular, this concerns the possibility of partial payments and the provision of broader financial guarantees. Kyiv hopes that such steps will convince European countries to change their approach to using Russian money.
Discussions on this matter are ongoing at the level of European Union diplomatic representatives. The main challenge remains finding legal solutions that comply with international law and do not create risks for the financial stability of European banks.
It is expected that the issue of frozen assets will become one of the key topics at international meetings in the near future. Success in this matter would allow Ukraine to obtain additional resources to overcome the consequences of Russian aggression.
