Number of transplants increases in Ukraine: medics have performed over 600 operations in half a year
Over the last six months, the number of successful organ transplant operations in Ukraine has increased significantly. According to official data, Ukrainian doctors have performed 327 organ transplants and 280 bone marrow transplants. This is almost 30% more than in the same period last year.
Medical statistics indicate a high level of professionalism among Ukrainian specialists. In particular, 184 kidney transplants, 88 liver transplants, and 55 heart transplant operations were performed within the half-year. These figures demonstrate the development of the healthcare system even under difficult conditions.
Doctors are paying special attention to helping the youngest patients. One in ten transplant operations was performed on a child. This saves the lives of many children who previously required treatment abroad and can now receive the necessary care at home.
