Ukraine has proposed that Russia cease attacks on civilian objects in the Black Sea
Ukraine has put forward an important initiative regarding security in the Black Sea. Through intermediaries, Kyiv has conveyed a proposal to the Russian side for a mutual cessation of strikes on civilian objects and infrastructure located in the sea's waters.
This proposal is part of Ukraine's efforts aimed at protecting maritime routes and ensuring the safety of civilian shipping. Recently, the Black Sea has become a zone of constant tension due to military actions, which negatively affects economic stability and logistics.
Currently, Kyiv is awaiting an official response from Moscow. It is not yet known how the Russian side will react to this initiative or whether it is prepared for negotiations regarding the cessation of attacks on civilian targets.
The international community is closely monitoring the developments in this region. Security in the Black Sea remains critically important not only for Ukraine but also for global food security, as the seaports are the main gateways for Ukrainian exports.
