Ministry of Economy plans to cut funding for the "National Cashback" program
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is considering the possibility of significantly reducing the budget for state programs aimed at supporting citizens. In particular, this concerns the "National Cashback" and "Winter Support" projects, which were introduced to stimulate the consumption of Ukrainian goods and provide assistance to the population.
According to the Minister of Economy, the agency plans to optimize expenditures for these programs. The budget for "National Cashback" could be cut to 4 billion hryvnias per year. This decision is explained by the need to save state funds during a difficult economic period.
Currently, representatives of the ministry are engaged in active discussions regarding the future of these initiatives. Options for completely canceling the payments or significantly reducing them are being discussed. The final changes are intended to make the use of state funds more efficient and targeted.
The "National Cashback" program was created to support Ukrainian manufacturers by allowing buyers to receive a portion of their money back for purchasing domestically produced goods. How exactly the payment terms for consumers will change following the budget cuts will become known in the near future after the completion of government consultations.
