Ukraine to create the largest fund to support military startups
Ukraine plans to create a large-scale investment fund that will specialize in supporting technological projects in the defense sector. This was announced by former Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. The main goal of the initiative is to provide financial support to Ukrainian developers who are creating innovative solutions for the front line.
The new fund will become the largest in the country in terms of investment volume in Defense Tech. It will focus on startups involved in the development of modern drones, electronic warfare systems, software for the military, and other technologies that help increase the efficiency of the Ukrainian army.
According to the former minister, the development of domestic technologies is critically important for national security. The investments will help talented teams move faster from an idea to a finished product that can be used in real combat conditions. This will also contribute to the development of the Ukrainian military technology market and attract international partners.
It is expected that the fund will operate under transparent rules, which will allow for the attraction of not only state funds but also private investments. This will create favorable conditions for the growth of new companies and strengthen the state's defense capability through the implementation of the latest scientific developments.
Creating such a fund is an important step for Ukraine, which aims to become one of the world's leaders in the field of military technology. Supporting innovation allows not only for strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also for building the future of the Ukrainian economy based on high-tech solutions.
