Slovak Prime Minister makes controversial statement regarding support for Ukraine
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has criticized Western countries for their assistance to Ukraine. In his view, the actions of certain politicians are only worsening the situation and hindering a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
In his statement, the Slovak politician noted that the West is allegedly "adding fuel to the fire" by continuing to provide military and financial support to Kyiv. Fico believes that such a policy does not bring peace closer, but rather provokes further escalation of tensions in relations with the Russian Federation.
These words have caused a significant stir in the international community, as the Slovak Prime Minister's position differs significantly from the official course of most European Union and NATO countries. Many European leaders emphasize that aid to Ukraine is a necessary condition for ensuring security throughout Europe.
