Ukraine strengthens air defense with German IRIS-T SLM system
Ukraine has received another IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missile system from Germany. This is an important reinforcement for the Ukrainian air defense system, which protects cities and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks every day.
IRIS-T SLM is a modern German medium-range system that has repeatedly proven its effectiveness during combat operations. The complex includes launchers, a powerful radar for target detection, and a command post, which allows for a rapid response to aerial threats.
Thanks to such systems, the Ukrainian military can shoot down enemy missiles and drones at significant distances. Germany remains one of Ukraine's key partners in the defense sector, regularly transferring equipment to protect the Ukrainian sky.
The supply of new air defense systems is critically important for the safety of the civilian population and the stable operation of the country's energy system. Receiving additional equipment significantly increases Ukraine's ability to repel air attacks and protect its territories.
