Ukraine is developing new means to combat jet-powered drones
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports a significant increase in the production of Russian strike drones. According to available data, Russia produces about 3,000 "Geran-4" and "Geran-5" series jet-powered drones every month. These new models are faster and more difficult to intercept than standard "Shaheds," which creates new challenges for the Ukrainian air defense system.
To effectively counter this threat, Ukrainian specialists are working on creating special micro-missiles. This weaponry is intended to be a more economical and precise solution than using expensive anti-aircraft missiles to destroy each individual drone. The development of such means will allow for more effective protection of Ukraine's critical infrastructure and cities from massive attacks.
Experts note that creating new defense systems requires time and significant technological resources. Currently, the design and testing process is underway to adapt Ukrainian weapons to modern warfare conditions. The developers' main goal is to ensure reliable protection of the skies and reduce the effectiveness of enemy attacks.
The situation remains tense, as the enemy is constantly improving its technologies. However, Ukrainian defense enterprises and engineers are making every effort to find an answer to these new types of weaponry. The further development of air defense remains a priority task for the country's security.
