President Zelenskyy condemns Russia's massive attacks on Ukraine on September 1
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted sharply to the latest massive shelling of Ukrainian cities that took place on September 1. The head of state emphasized that Russian troops are deliberately targeting civilian objects, making Ukrainian children hostages and participants in this war.
As a result of the enemy attacks in various regions of the country, including the capital, 12 people were killed. More than 20 others sustained injuries of varying severity. The strikes caused significant damage to infrastructure, complicating the situation for local residents on a day when children should have been preparing for the start of the school year.
The international community and Ukrainian authorities continue to emphasize that such actions are a gross violation of international law. Rescue services worked at the impact sites throughout the day, clearing rubble and providing assistance to the victims. Residential buildings and social facilities were damaged in many cities.
These events once again highlighted the danger that Ukrainians face every day due to military aggression. The President called on global partners to strengthen their support for Ukraine in order to protect the civilian population from similar attacks in the future and to hold those responsible accountable.
