Donald Trump's representatives visit Kyiv for the first time
Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in the capital of Ukraine the other day. This is their first official visit to Kyiv in their capacity as representatives of US President-elect Donald Trump. The purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with the current situation in the country and establish a dialogue with the Ukrainian leadership.
Previously, another member of Trump's team, Keith Kellogg, had already visited Ukraine. He was involved in security issues and analyzing the situation on the front lines. The visit of Witkoff and Kushner indicates that the new US administration continues to actively study the Ukrainian issue at a high level.
Although the details of the negotiations have not yet been disclosed, experts consider this visit an important step for future cooperation. The participation of individuals close to Donald Trump in diplomatic meetings in Kyiv underscores Washington's attention to events in Ukraine.
Currently, the Ukrainian side is awaiting further contacts with American partners. This visit is part of a broader process of shaping the new White House administration's foreign policy regarding ending the war and supporting security in Europe.
