Installation dedicated to the experience of forced migrants opens in Kyiv
On May 10, a special exhibition titled "Fit Your Life into a Suitcase" opened at the Museum of the History of Kyiv. About 50 representatives from media and non-governmental organizations attended the event to see the project, which tells the story of the realities of Ukrainian life during the war.
This installation is dedicated to the theme of forced displacement. It visually demonstrates how millions of people were forced to leave their homes, taking only the most essential items with them. Each exhibit inside a suitcase symbolizes a personal story, loss, and the hope of returning home.
The event organizers emphasize that the goal of the exhibition is to draw public attention to the problems faced by internally displaced persons. Through art, the authors strive to show the emotional state of people who have found themselves in new circumstances and to highlight the importance of supporting those who have lost everything due to military actions.
The exhibition has become an important platform for discussing humanitarian issues. Visitors had the opportunity not only to view the installation but also to talk with those working to help war victims, learning more about the challenges that displaced persons face today.
This art project is part of a broader initiative aimed at preserving the memory of current events. The exhibition at the Museum of the History of Kyiv remains open to visitors who want to better understand the experience of Ukrainians who have become forced migrants.
