Ukraine receives over a billion euros from the EU for the development of the defense industry
The European Union has allocated financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 1.24 billion euros. These funds are aimed at strengthening the state's defense capabilities and supporting domestic weapons production.
The received funding will be spent on purchasing modern technologies for the front line. Specifically, this concerns the acquisition of drones, special interceptor drones, as well as ammunition for unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles.
An important condition of this assistance is that the weapons and equipment must be manufactured specifically at Ukrainian enterprises. This allows not only for providing the army with necessary resources but also for supporting the country's economy and the development of the defense-industrial complex.
This step is part of a strategic partnership between Ukraine and the European Union. Thanks to this support, Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to scale up the production of equipment that is critically important for protecting territories and countering enemy attacks.
It is expected that investments in Ukrainian production will help to more quickly provide Defense Force units with the necessary equipment. This decision demonstrates the stable support of Ukraine by European partners under the difficult conditions of war.
