Most Ukrainians consider the level of corruption in the country to be higher than before the start of the full-scale war
According to the results of a recent sociological survey, three-quarters of Ukrainians are convinced that the level of corruption in Ukraine has noticeably increased since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. This study reflects public sentiment regarding the transparency of government processes during a difficult time for the country.
Respondents who took part in the survey expressed concern about how resources are distributed and how state institutions operate. Many citizens believe that combating corrupt schemes should be one of the top priorities for the government, even despite the challenges of martial law.
At the same time, experts note that the increased public attention to this topic is a sign of the development of civil oversight. Ukrainians have become more demanding of public officials and expect full accountability in the use of both budget funds and international aid.
The survey results also highlight the importance of reforms demanded by Ukraine's international partners. Transparency and the fight against bribery remain key conditions for further European integration and the recovery of the state's economy after the end of hostilities.
Currently, the issue of overcoming corruption remains one of the most discussed topics in the media and among politicians. The level of public trust in state institutions in the future will depend on how effective the government's steps in this direction will be.
