Parts of Kyiv left without electricity due to Russian attack
This morning, residents of the capital faced power supply interruptions. The cause of the outages was another massive attack by Russian troops on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
According to official data, the northern and central districts of the city were the most affected. In particular, certain residential areas in the Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Desnianskyi districts of Kyiv were temporarily left without power.
Emergency repair crews are currently working on-site. Specialists are making every effort to restore stable power supply to all consumers as quickly as possible and to stabilize the operation of the energy system.
City authorities are urging Kyiv residents to remain calm and follow official announcements. Residents are also asked to limit the use of energy-intensive appliances to reduce the load on the grid during repair work.
The situation in the energy sector remains difficult but controlled. All relevant services are working in an enhanced mode to ensure that power is returned to the homes of city residents in the near future.
