Ukraine and Germany sign agreements worth 8.5 billion euros
Ukraine and Germany are strengthening their cooperation in the defense and economic sectors. During a recent meeting, representatives of both countries concluded 15 new agreements with a total value of 8.5 billion euros. This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The main topic of the negotiations was the strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system. The parties discussed the supply of modern interceptors, small missiles, and radars that will help better protect the Ukrainian sky from enemy attacks. Agreements were also reached on the transfer of artillery systems and other necessary weaponry.
In addition to the supply of finished equipment, significant attention was paid to the development of domestic production in Ukraine. German partners plan to support the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, which will allow for the faster manufacturing of necessary weapons directly on the territory of our state.
These agreements are an important step in supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities during a difficult time. Cooperation with Germany not only provides the Ukrainian army with modern equipment but also fosters a long-term partnership between the countries, which is critically important for the security of all of Europe.
