Ukrainian journalists learn to use the "Chuyka" drone detector
Organizations DII-Ukraine and Kyiv Media Hub held a special training session for media representatives. The main topic of the event was learning how to operate a portable drone detector called "Chuyka." This equipment is an essential part of safety for those working under martial law conditions.
"Chuyka" is a development by Ukrainian engineers that helps detect danger in the sky. The device is designed to search for analog video signals used by enemy drones. Thanks to its compact size, the detector is convenient to carry along during trips to dangerous regions.
During the training, journalists learned how to properly configure the device and how to react to its signals. Understanding how the technology works allows media professionals to make decisions faster and avoid threats while performing their professional duties.
Such initiatives are becoming increasingly important for Ukrainian media. Skills in using modern protection technologies help journalists cover the events of the war more safely and inform the public about the situation in the country.
