Venezuela hopes to soon resume air connections with several countries in the region

The president of the Association of Venezuelan Airlines (ALAV), Marisela de Loaiza, recently reported that the sector expects commercial flights with Panama, Peru, and the Dominican Republic to be restored soon. These routes are fundamental for the country's connectivity with the rest of the continent and the world.

The suspension of these flights occurred a few weeks ago, which has created difficulties for thousands of travelers. Many passengers use these countries as layover points to reach other international destinations, so the interruption has significantly limited travel options to and from Venezuela.

De Loaiza explained that the airline industry is prepared to resume operations as soon as authorities give the go-ahead. The lack of these routes affects not only tourists but also businesses and cargo transport, elements that are essential for the national economy and the supply of products.

Currently, airlines are waiting for official announcements from the Venezuelan government. Although there is still no exact date for the restart of activities, the president of ALAV was optimistic about the possibility of finding a near solution to normalize air traffic in the region.

The restoration of these connections is a priority for the aeronautical sector and for citizens. The reopening of the skies would allow for improved mobility and strengthen commercial ties with neighboring countries, also facilitating the reunion of many families who depend on these international flights.
