Doctors in Vienna discover the torture of an infant!
A couple from the Ottakring area in Vienna brought their nine-week-old daughter to a hospital in Vienna on Wednesday evening around 8:30 PM. The parents claimed that the child had suffered a seizure.
But when the child was examined, the doctors immediately raised the alarm. They discovered severe injuries and multiple fractures that could not be the result of a fall or a seizure. This raised strong suspicions that the infant had been subjected to physical abuse, and the police were notified immediately.
While the police were at the hospital, the parents were arrested immediately, while the medical teams fought to save the child's life. She underwent emergency surgery, but she remains in critical condition until Thursday morning.
The parents, a 35-year-old German man and a 38-year-old Croatian woman, have remained silent and refused to make any statements so far. They have been charged with attempted murder, and by order of the public prosecutor's office in Vienna, they have been placed in a correctional facility.
The Child and Youth Care Authority (MA 11) has been notified, which has temporarily taken care of the child. The parents have already appointed a renowned defense attorney to represent them.
